If your thermostat display is blank there could be a couple different things that could cause it. First, check and make sure your breakers that power your air conditioning system are not tripped. If they are tripped you can try and reset them. If they immediately trip again do not reset them again. A service tech is most likely needed to check out your system.
If your thermostat runs off batteries you should replace them and check and see if that restores your display. If batteries do not help, your systems float switch could be tripped. A float switch prevents your system from running while drain problems exist. If you find that your float switch, either on your secondary pan or on your air handler is tripped, see the Tripped Float Switch Faq.
